Ken Krebbs, Sedona Fire District, is Honored as Firefighter of the Year by Masonic Lodge #14
Special congratulations and thanks to SFD Firefighter Ken Krebbs for being honored as the 2007 Masonic Lodge Firefighter of the Year. Firefighter Krebbs was given the award at a formal presentation ceremony at the Sedona City Council Meeting on October 19, 2007, at City Hall, with his wife and daughter, and many of his SFD co-workers present.
The Sedona/Central Arizona Masonic Lodge #14 selected Krebbs of Sedona Fire District as the Firefighter of the Year. The Masonic Lodge implemented this program several years ago to annually honor a firefighter who is providing outstanding service to both his fire department and the community. They ask the fire district to submit nominations and the Masonic Lodge then makes the selection. Krebbs received several nominations from his fellow employees for this honor because of his hard work and dedication to the fire service. The following is a list of some of his accomplishments during the past year:
Charity Work/Community Involvement – such as the 30 miles he walked during the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life Fundraiser.
Training and Development – Yavapai College Fire Academy coordination and recent training office assignment.
Personal Professional Development – Kenny completed 18 degree-oriented credit hours at Yavapai College
CISM Team Membership/Participation – Kenny is an asset to this group.
Competed for and made the 2007 SFD Captain’s List during the intensive testing process.
The award was presented to Kenny Krebbs by Brooke Cunningham, the Junior Grand Deacon of the local Masonic Lodge chapter.
