Ongoing Classes

American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR

First Saturday of every month • 8:00 am – 12:00 pm • $50
This course teaches CPR for the adult, child, and infant, as well as the use of the automated external defibrillator (AED), and relief of a foreign body airway obstruction (FBAO). It’s for lay rescuers and anyone requiring CPR certification who DOES NOT work in the medical field. A certification card is issued for all participants who successfully complete the course and demonstrate competency in practical skills.

American Heart Association BLS for the Healthcare Provider CPR

By appointment for groups of 6 or more • $50
This course teaches CPR for the adult, child, and infant, as well as the use of the automated external defibrillator (AED), and relief of a foreign body airway obstruction (FBAO). It is for those who work in a healthcare setting (doctors, nurses, paramedics, EMTs) and anyone who provides direct patient care. A course certification card is issued for all participants who successfully complete the course and demonstrate competency in practical skills. E-mail Johnny Sedillo to schedule or learn more.

American Heart Association First Aid

First Saturday of every month • 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm • $50
This course is designed for the layperson who wants to learn how to provide basic first aid in the event of an emergency. Participants will be taught how to stabilize fractures, control bleeding, and manage a variety of emergencies, including cardiac chest pain, stroke, and seizures, etc., until more advanced medical care is available. A course certification card is issued for all participants who successfully complete the course and demonstrate competency in practical skills.

Continuous Chest Compressions CPR / CCC

By appointment • Free
This course is designed for the layperson who would like to obtain skills to help someone in the event of adult-witnessed sudden cardiac arrest with “hands only” CPR. Participants will be educated in CPR, continuous chest compressions (CCC), and the use of the automated external defibrillation (AED). Watch this YouTube video from the American Heart Association.
