The Recruitment Process

1. Phone Interview

For most administrative positions, the interview process begins with a phone interview after an initial application screening for minimum qualifications. This step is not part of firefighter recruitment.

2. Technical Test

For most positions, a technical skills test will assess job readiness for stated qualifications. For Firefighter recruitment, this will be conducted through the National Testing Network.

3. Live Interview

Congratulations, you are a top candidate and will be interviewed either by video conferencing or in person. For firefighter recruitment, this comes as part of an Assessment Center, which combines Oral Boards and a variety of competency-based exercises.

4. Conditional Offer

The successful candidate will be presented with a Conditional Offer of Employment pending clearance of public safety background check, drug test, and psychological evaluations, if applicable. Welcome to the Team!
