Al Comello has lived in the Sedona area for 20 years and has participated in numerous organizations, events, boards, and community projects and is committed to being part of Sedona’s future by sharing his skills, time and talents. Until January, 2019 Al was on the board of the Sedona Community Center for 18 years. They provide Sedona’s Meals on Wheels service. As a volunteer, he manages their annual tax credit fundraiser, which substantially benefits the Community Center’s annual budget. He created a non-profit organization called Sedona Fair, Inc. in 2008 dedicated to creating events for locals and visitors alike. This organization gave birth to Sedona’s signature fall event, the Sedona Winefest, now in its 11th year. He also serves as president of the Sedona Events Alliance, a Chamber affinity organization representing the Sedona events community. Al is also a board member of the Sedona Historical Society and Sedona Chamber of Commerce. Al is self-employed as Comello Media Services and works on marketing related projects. He also has an extensive background in newspaper and magazine publishing and real estate marketing. He is the former Real Estate Editor and Classified Advertising Manager of the St. Louis Globe Democrat, a major daily newspaper in Saint Louis.
